Delhi's air quality early warning system (EWS) has made incorrect predictions on four of the last six days, despite using advanced atmospheric models.

As of the latest update, Delhi's average AQI stands at 263, with particularly high levels recorded in certain areas. Dwarka’s AQI has reached a concerning 336, while ITO reports a moderate 188 and IGI Airport 273.

A thin layer of smog covered New Delhi, with the Air Quality Index falling to 226, labeled 'Poor.' The highest AQI of 334 was recorded at Akshardham and Anand Vihar. Residents complained of throat and breathing issues.

Following the Dussehra festivities, the Capital has endured four consecutive days of ‘poor’ air quality. This has prompted the Centre’s air pollution control panel to enforce Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP).
