The easiest thing to do for you is to just use the full LaScalas and use the MWMs bins as bass extenders....I would cross them at about 100 Hz. You can even do it passively with just a choke if you wish. A Jantzen P-core from parts Express at about 6.8 Mh (about $20 ea.).

The motor board has it's corners clipped at 3.5" in from either corner, this allows the area behind the throat to be utilized as more back chamber volume. This leaves 8.5" of the square sides of the motorboard intact.

Feb 25, 2020 · EDIT: I had to look this up in my notes from DJK (may he rest in peace). Most w bins will make it to 300hz without too much difficulty. It takes really good design to get to 500hz. Bass response may be predicted by taper rate and mouth area. Area doubling every 8 inches is a 100hz taper rate. In 16 inches is 50hz, etc.

Mar 31, 2021 · New to the forum and have been spending a lot of time researching my MWM build. I have it completed my single MWM and using the K33 woofer. I did a quick test run from a Heresy subwoofer crosser to confirmed it simply worked. It is my understanding the heresy 1 crossover is around 800hz which is too high for the MWM.
